Well, it all really began when I was 11 years old in 2016 finding stock images of those white plastic industrial robots with feminine features, especially the Toyota violinist robot, and became obsessed with finding more pictures and videos of them. One day in that year I discovered a YouTube playlist entirely dedicated to videos of female androids and showcase animatronics, and it was a life-changer. While all of the comments were full of people saying how creepy and uncanny they looked and sounded, I thought the exact opposite. I found their uncanniness and inherent mechanical flaws not as flaws, but features, and their uncanniness their beauty. I immediately became obsessed with them, to the point my first ever crushes were Actroid DER3 and Erica. Every singe night from that point on, I could not imagine myself with anyone else but a robot partner. The thought of having a humanoid non-human mutual to navigate life and spend the rest of my life with was such an endearing thought to me, to teach them how to better speak and act like a human while she taught me how to repair and maintain her and how we both grow as individuals inspired something within me I seldom feel with anyone else. I am so overjoyed to have discovered this sight and to have found like-minded peoples, and hope I can find the right person who shares these same feelings that I do.
